Hi folks,
All things come to an end ......
I began compiling this blog almost seven years ago but with the increased level of aircraft now visiting Dublin it has become quite a chore. Indeed, I've been spending way too much time looking at the computer screen rather than actually watching the aircraft.
With that in mind I've decided to call time on the daily blog and from
now on I'll only list the more interesting items as they appear.
There are, of course, many other ways of monitoring movements by using FR24, Planefinder and the various spotters pages on Facebook etc. - so I'm sure you'll cope!
Finally, I'm very grateful to a handful of friends who have provided so much information over the last seven years - you know who you are - many, many thanks!
Slán,
Gerry
I shall miss the information very much, but thank you for all the time and effort it has involved.
ReplyDeleteI have followed your site with great fondness for the last seven years Gerry. Thank you very much for all the time and effort you put in.

Gerry, I would have viewed this blog a couple of times a day and always told you how great it was, you hinted to me a couple of months ago, that it was going to end soon.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the service and if you ever change your mind.
Everytime I meet foreign spotters at Dublin, I tried to point them to this excellent blog.
It will be missed and thank you.
If you are doing Movember, contact me directly.

Hi Gerry,
ReplyDeleteMany thanks for what I can only describe as your dedication and very hard work maintaining this blog over the last seven years, I often wondered how you actually kept track of these movements in particular the Bizjets movements that tend to have zero information whatsoever on FR24….
Anyhow, enjoy your time being closer to the runways and aprons out at DUB / EIDW and I am looking forward to checking out those unusual and more interesting items that you are still panning on posting.
Cheers,
John Healy, Dublin 9
Hey Gerry,
ReplyDeleteFound this blog by chance last year and honestly check it daily. Was so in depth and great to read. Genuinely going to miss the detail but you have to look out for number 1 at the end of the day.
Cheers,
Jordan
Gerry.
ReplyDeleteMany thanks for your hard work and the invaluable time that you put into helping us all. It will be greatly missed - my only course for "missing action" now is the 'B-team' (FR 24). best wishes for the future and keep on snapping.
Regards and Many Thanks.
